Detailing is about bringing a car's finish back to its best and protecting it so it lasts. At AutoPerfect we focus on the paintwork: the deep, clean gloss that makes a car look cared for, whether it's a daily driver or something special.
Every detail starts with a proper, safe wash. A pre-soak and foam lift the worst off, followed by a careful contact wash and a full decontamination pass that removes bonded tar, fallout and grime the clearcoat holds onto. Only once the paint is genuinely clean do we look at what it needs.
From there it's about enhancing the gloss. Depending on the package, that can mean a machine-applied gloss enhancement to lift the shine and reduce light swirls, through to more thorough paint correction where the finish needs it. We'll be honest about what your paint will take and what will make a real difference.
We finish by protecting the work, so it holds. Depending on the package that means a durable sealant or a ceramic-based coating on the paint, keeping it cleaner, glossier and easier to maintain for months rather than days.

A valet cleans the car to a high standard. A detail goes further: decontaminating the paint, machine-enhancing the gloss and protecting the finish so it lasts. A valet cleans what you can see, a detail improves what you can feel.
A full detail is a staged process: a safe pre-soak and contact wash, a full decontamination pass, then machine work to enhance the gloss and refine the paint, finished with protection. We tailor the exact level to the car and what you want from it.
Machine polishing removes or greatly reduces swirls, wash marks and light scratches by refining the clearcoat back to a flat, deep finish. Very deep scratches that have gone through the clearcoat cannot always be polished out fully, and we will tell you honestly what is achievable after we assess the paint under proper lighting.
A range, from a durable sealant to a ceramic-infused coating on the paint, plus a hydrophobic treatment on the glass and fabric or leather protection inside. The right choice depends on how you use and store the car, and we will recommend the level that genuinely suits you rather than the most expensive one.
Most details take between one and three days depending on the level. A gloss enhancement is quicker, while multi-stage correction with a coating takes longer, as curing between stages cannot be rushed. We confirm the timescale when we quote, once we have seen the car.
A full corrective detail is not something most cars need often. Many owners have one to reset the car, then keep it topped up with lighter maintenance details and good washing in between. We will suggest a sensible rhythm based on how you use and store it.
Yes. Alongside the paintwork we offer interior valeting to freshen the cabin: seats, carpets, plastics and glass cleaned up so the inside matches the outside. Interior-only valets are available if that is all you need.
Often, yes. A car that presents clean, corrected and protected photographs better and gives buyers confidence it has been looked after, which can help it sell and hold its value. We will advise on the level that makes sense for the car rather than overdoing it.
